What Shall We Do?

When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!” Mark 5:6-8 NIV

The evil spirit saw Jesus from a distance, yet he ran directly to Him and brought the man to his knees. Even evil spirits must bow down to the Lord. They know that He is the Son of God.

It is interesting that the evil spirit says int the name of God to not torture him. Evil spirits know their end destiny, yet they wish to delay the inevitable.

Why can’t we acknowledge Christ for who He is, bow down before Him, and ask that we not be tortured, but be healed? Maybe after our own ways fail we might turn to Him asking for help, but why don’t we do it initially? Do we really feel that we can find ways of our own to heal ourselves, when it is Christ that we must turn to? Run to Christ, bow down before Him and ask Him to make you sound. Believe in Him and His healing work within you!
