You Took My Breath Away

I stood at the peak
Of the high Tabor Mount
You led me up the mountain
To spend time along with me.

I was happy to be at this height
Where I could see the world below
The view from this point amazing
But then you took my breath away!

As I turned to look at you
I trembled with joy and awe
Your appearance changed so fast
You were dazzling white and bright!

The scene of nature
Paled in front of the glorious one
You set before my astonished eyes
The longing to have the same divine radiance as you.

My eyes tried to catch in
The glory of your majestic light
When all of a sudden from the air
Appeared Two of the renowned Prophets
Engaging you in a conversation so dear.

I could only stare white faced
When from the thundering cloud overhead
Came a voice straight from Heaven
Favouring you as His Chosen One.

I wished I could join the clouds
To be as near to the overwhelming sound
Of my beloved Creator so close to me
To move well into the clouds along with you.

I could muster up just a little voice
To speak to you to let our guests stay
A three-fold tent to be built for each
When again we stood alone together.

You took my breath away!
In your transfiguration so true
To look beyond your passion
To a Glory so great the world
Has never ever seen in time.

How I wished we could have stayed up longer
Marooned in our own beatified mountain
To make the climb to heaven from there itself
Far away from the world all on our own.

You led me down all the way back
As we came down from the mountain
You promised me a similar transfiguration
When I could join you in the highest heaven.

You took my breath away!
I could hardly speak or stand
What had aspired before my eyes
Was a love transpired with a fervour
None could understand on this earth.

You took my breath away!
I was floored at the realistic scene
It seemed all dreamy but not a bit
You had revealed your true inner heart
Ready to take on the world for me.

You took my breath away!
Now I need not have any fears
Your breath is more than sufficient
To fill and suffice me for a lifetime
And right upto the beautiful paradise awaiting my arrival!
