 God calls us to venture at least twice as deep into His righteousness as we went and delved into sin, to delve twice as deep and far INTO THE LIGHT AS WE WENT INTO DARKNESS. We are to be twice as dedicated to him as ever were to ourselves and our own pleasures and pursuits. At least be twice as clean as we ever were dirty in order to please Him, the One who called  us out of darkness into His marvelous light in order to proclaim to a desperate world His wondrous deeds in all that He has done for us and to us, and all that He is to us and all that He has made us to be for His glory.

The Apostle Paul ran himself ragged and drove himself to exhaustion hunting down Christians to do them harm.  He could do no less than expend even more energy from a different source after his conversion in doing them good for God's greater glory.

"......she has received from the Lord double for all her sins." (Isaiah 40, v.2)
