Titus 2:13 (NKJV)
Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Titus 2:12 (NKJV) teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
This verse, says that the grace of God teaches us “to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
We all remember Gen. MacArthur when he was in the Philippines he had to flee because of the Japanese army, but his famous words “I shall return” most of us remember. Well, he did return and liberate the Philippines.
Jesus said the same thing I will come again when Jesus was transcending he said I go to my father and I will prepare a place for you John 14:3 (NKJV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
The grace of God has brought us through, bring salvation to all who believes. Now, we look forward to our blessed hope, awaiting the fulfillment of our promise. The “glorious day”; the glorious day when we meet Jesus Christ, our God and Saviour in the air. 'And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other
As a child, I would go to church and hear about the return of Jesus. That has been over 60 years and Jesus still hasn't come. But that does not mean that he is not coming. Jesus does not know when God the Father will tell Him it is time to gather his people. God is the only one that knows the time of the return of Jesus. The disciples thought that he would return shortly and that was over 2000 years ago. They were waiting for him, but he never came in their lifetime. God has given us time to witness to people and our family members for our time is short, don't waste time, warn them before it's too late.
With Jesus resurrection as the proof and guarantee that there is a resurrection for us. It strength our spiritual doubting and weaknesses.
1. There is no doubt that Jesus was resurrected!
2. There is no doubt that what God has done once, he can do again!
3. When Jesus returns, God will raise the dead in Christ.
4. Those still living shall join them meeting Jesus.
5. We shall ever be with the Lord!
Philippians 3:20-21 (NKJV)
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
Our Christian citizenship is in heaven, not on earth. As citizens of God's kingdom, our work, our leisure, our worship, our joy, and our sorrows—are framed by the reality of living in a world partly controlled by the old, corrupt ways of the fall (Genesis 3).
We must daily conduct our lives by the standards of GODS kingdom. We serve the true God, we await the final coming of Jesus to reign over the world. We must be willing to let the Holy Spirit make the necessary changes in our life to turn us around from the world's way of thinking to God's plans and purpose in our life. As Christians, we must overcome the things of the world.
Because, of our old sinful nature, our flesh will still try to find gratification. Evil is disguised so cleverly isn't it? The devil knows and does his job well! It does not always look like we are up to evil. We get carried away with life's tide of events if we are not careful to guard ourselves and look to Christ. Don’t live for today, but live for the coming of the Lord
