Did you know that if your faith is in Christ and His promise of eternal life in the gospel, you are already a citizen of heaven? Our eternity is secure.
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; Phil 3:20 NAS
God already sees us as citizens of heaven, protected by Him while we are here, but no longer of this world.
“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.” John 17:14 NAS
God sees us in the Spirit, in the truth of who we are, presently seated in Christ at our Fathers right hand.
And raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Eph 2:4-6 NAS
As Christ is, so are we in this world. This means as Christ is right with God, righteous before our Father, so is our Spirit in His eyes. In the perfection of Christ, we are told to have confidence and absolutely no fear of judgment, condemnation or punishment.
By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 1 John 4:17 NAS
We can benefit today, being transformed by walking in Spirit and truth.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Rom 12:1-2 NAS
Our born-again Spirit is a flawless reflection of Jesus perfect Spirit that our Father has sent forth to dwell within our hearts. We worship God in Spirit and truth, when by faith, our focus is on the truth of who our Father states we are in Christ, in the Spirit.
Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" Gal 4:6 NAS
Let’s agree to stop focusing on our flesh that was crucified and died on the cross with Christ and will never be redeemed. Instead, let us focus on Jesus Spirit that dwells within us, letting him rule our lives. When we do, even our flesh, this temporary tent as Paul calls it, will be transformed to look more like Christ for this world to see.
Many more New Covenant Bible Studies HERE. Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross.
And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20
