Babel crusade

Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.  Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar.  And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth." Gen. 11:1-4.
There was one language, voice, speech,  and common origin. Their advantage was  the common language. They would not want to progress and propagate, they chose stagnancy and thought to build towers in Babel. They did not want to scatter abroad, contrary to “replenishing the earth  and  multiply”. This implies that one section of the earth will be heavily populated with God’s wonder in Human form and most of the portion of the earth will be  sparsely  inhabited. These are contrary to the intention of the creator.
“Go to let us build us a city and tower that may reach into heaven” Why was such great edifice necessary? And for what purpose? The project was going to sap and siphon virtually all their resources: Money, time, human resources, energy and probably their health and life.  Such proposed structure was high and will  encourage  casualty of different kinds, minor and  major disaster.  The building that must the heaven! Are they planning to over throw God?
Greedy Ambition.
 Dreaming  lawfully is not a crime. It is equally necessary to have visions, desire, longing and ambition. But when an ambition is competitive, oppressive and greedy, it is ungodly. Seeking for purposeful happiness, comfort and progress in all legitimate climes is equally encouraged in the scripture. However, when an endeavour  attempts to take advantage, deceive  and exploits the common wealth of reasoning, resources, rewards,  and opportunity of God and others, it becomes ungodly. Ambition that drives the desire for self glorification and gratification, is never recommended by God. Where personal interest takes over the collective interest in an ambition, it is a greedy ambition. When power and opportunity wither in the spiritual or circular sphere,  is used to advance individual or personal interest, ambitions and achievement, it is surely a greedy ambition.

let us make us a name. An ambition was suggested.  They wanted to build what no one has done. No one had ever attempted to. Some had to settle in place, others have to continue the journey. However, some want to build an end in a mere tower and want to stop and make a name when there are many other parts of nature to explore! If the need or solution to fundamental problem suggests building, designing and raising a structure, then it is a welcome idea. But making a NAME? it is not a solution to any problem, it is an individual or group of people desire.
This relate with what is invoke today in various ministries. There are many competitions going on in terms of structures, building, programmes, projects  and practices. The game of who is who in ministries; an unnecessary competition.  I have been privileged with some discussions and you will be surprised when some denominations’ members and pastors roll out their many number of achievement; “We are the first…….). The primary reason of God reaching out  to the Whole  world has been pushed aside by many. Many are distracted with competitive comparisons of ministries,   pastors and leaders! “Let us make a name”.
The structure of self.
And they said one to another   go to Let us make  brick and burn them thoroughly. Go to let us built us a city and tower whose top may reach into the heaven. Let us make us a name, Lest we scattered abroad upon the face of  whole earth
The team of greedy ambition and selfishness is common way that  the devil  explore  mostly to take a person, a group, a movement and a generation from the presence. The move of God   is  easily stopped by an introduction into a canal trip or tour.  He often present before them,  ambition  to make a name. Sometime, it come unaware as success, it is trap. Devil will make them think only about themselves, reward like Balaam did while they try to murder God’s visions and innovation.  Such may assume they are very smart and even support it with the scripture. In Eden, devil offered schemes and situation to make men discard the instructions and counsel of God.  It is the old tactics, just like in eden! But they eventually lost the EDEN they thought thier disobedience will help them keep!
Self or carnality is seeking at all cost, greedy and deceitfully a form of happiness, comfort, peace and success, irrespective of God’s instruction or words. Unfortunately, self cannot achieve all these in their real form! Self built principles does not inspire God into action, infact it is an enemy of God’s instruction.
That was what necessitated the Babel crusade. They wanted to raise a structure that breaks records, Make a great name, contradict God’s instruction of spreading and exploring the wonder of the creation.
Many Individuals, groups and denomination are really guilty and are like Babel generation.  Many who picked one course  of study or ministry in this generation are mostly there probably to build the greatest cathedral, make a living, name or rank in the denomination.  These intensions may seem as if it is God’s approved, but really in contradiction to His words and instruction. There are too many  pastors, evangelists and prophets by  certificate and earthly credentials than God’s certified and ordained minister. Some were actually sometimes ago but had slipped into the temptation of  “pride of life”, lust of the eye and love of the world”.
Many leaders pastors, general overseers and founder of many denominations and ministry , can provide several scriptural verses to  support  their Works,Walk and actions. Many programmes and crusade are organized just to fulfill the statement   let us make a name. In this generation, raising structure and crowd are serious   measure of success in ministries. All these have no  value in heaven when in the real expectation of God  to spread abroad: to spread  the words, truth and love. Having the largest congregation, asset widely across the nations is irrelevant to God if positively lives changing efforts are encouraged by them.
Successful  endeavours according to human assessment does not means such programs, crusade and  projects  are supported or approved by God.  Most programs in these generation by  many denominations, pastors  and prophet or Christian gathering, are just attempting to build  Babel’s tower.  Many people just want to break records and  set new one!
There are many international and national programme at the expense of the poor and feeble members of the congregation. Rather than focus on their salvation, empowerments and provision of  meat ( food in the House of God). Resources are diverted into one single project , that may be a rejected structure just because rival ministries or minister have done that! Who asked you to do that? The exploitative mindset will make a pastor to lay claim to financial contribution of the congregation to describe his or her personal and individual financial status. After all,  he/ she is founder!
The external war against the church does not weaken her, but the internal war does. The internal warlords like Deceptions, Distraction, iniquities (sins) and greed weaken the church. Until the church is delivered and healed of various wounds caused by these internal wars, her strength will further reduce! CHRIST WILL SAVE HIS CHURCH!
Many things may be invoke, not everything God approves. According to Psalm  127 “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. ² It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.
It is unfortunate that in some gathering, the gospel of Christ, His name, His word and grace have been technically and carelessly monetized. Some have boldly put price tag on all they received from God, only to build towers, make name, keep men and women in one stagnant mode and restrict their progress and intimacy with their make. Many purposes, potentials and privileges have been sacrificed on this altar of greed and ignorance driven ambition. God’s love and grace have been monetized. Such operate, generate and maintain the atmosphere of confusions and deception to enslave destinies. It is certainly sure some of these ministries and structures raised by the inspiration of greedy ambition will not outlive their Founder!
Where is God in many ungodly struggles of many denominations? Could God be responsible for these many denominations  and disgracing acts put up by some so called General overseers, founders, general superintendent, presidents with many merchandising schemes. It is unfortunate to link scams with God, only because of this greedy ambitions let us Build, make name and be stagnant!
The desire to pursues earth structure against heavenly mansion, earthly names and fame, against names in the book of life and stagnantly relevant on earth than preparing actively for the Lord,  is the same sin committed in babel. Pastors, reverend, Bishop, evangelist, Prophet and prophetic titles are seriously trending! But God recognizes sons and daughters of God through Christ Jesus His only begotten Son. Any other titles apart from these are “Second hand” and inferior! The most importantly and the first is be and always be  His son or daughter!
God is not interested
God is not interested in this great edifice if it will not serve to the maximum the purpose and intension of God. Tithes and offering collected in God’s names should not be equated to pastors or leaders wealth. They should be used to encourage salvation of souls, build saints up, empowers members and meet needs! Build the people and the people will build the church! God is not interested in the fame that does not glorify His name.

They had such a unity that got God’s attention. Unfortunately, this unity was in a wrong direction and they were scattered. Unfortunately some babel’s congregation in this our  generation will receive similar attention and their structures  shall be plummeted!
