Lord God,

I pray for the brothers and sisters in my local church,

Who are discouraged and burdened,

Or who have grown weary by all of life’s troubles,

I pray for those who are grieving loss,

Or are experiencing despair and loneliness,

I pray for those who feel trapped in sin,

And are overcome by shame and guilt,

I pray for those who are struggling with any illness,

Or have loved ones who are unwell,

I pray Lord that you would uphold the weak and weary,

Renew them by your Spirit and grow their hope in Christ,

Please remind them of your love and comfort them by your presence,

And give them the grace to persevere in faith and to wait patiently on you,

Amidst whatever trials they are currently facing,

I thank you Lord that as your church, you also call us to bear one another’s burdens,

And to show compassion and encourage the weak and fainthearted members,

So please continue to grow my love for all my brothers and sisters,

And prepare me to care for any of them in need,

Whether it’s offering some words of encouragement or hope,

Or offering to pray or share a Bible verse with them,

Or even just making time to spend with them and be a listening ear,

Please use me as an instrument of your grace to my fellow brothers and sisters,

And help all of us to continue to love and serve another,

As we live out our unity in Christ.
