Someone touched Me in prayer.

For twelve years she saw the doctors,

Yet healing was not to be found

Carefully they diagnosed her case,

Yet could not free her from what bound

All her possessions had now been exhausted

And what remains is a frail dejected soul,

Will I ever get to see real blessedness?

My burdens from me away who could roll?

She saw a commotion, a big crowd,

Thronging and falling upon a lone man,

She thought, “Its Jesus the great Healer,

Let me come close to Him as much as I can.”

Yet the disease that I have makes me sore unclean,

And ashamed I am to approach the Preacher,

Will I be rejected by Him today?

Or will His disciples say to me, “Go away! Don’t trouble the Teacher”?

Yet now I have no more hope left,

For deliverance in this world and all it has I cannot see.

Let me try this last resort to live

I’ll just touch His garment and none shall notice me

All of a sudden the commotion came to a halt,

The Master asked “Who touched me?”

Peter and the disciples were amazed by this,

“Master, the crowd’s falling upon You, as we all can see?”

No, someone really touched me,

For I perceived power going out of Me,

Trembling before Him now came the woman

Confessing, “Lord, I have been healed by Thee”

Rise up O Daughter, and be of good cheer,

For your faith has made you well.

The touch of faith had emitted the deliverance,

Which only in the Savior doth dwell

None in the crowd had faith like this woman,

For they were all just part of the big crowd,

Only the prayer of faith reaches the Master’s heart

Faithless prayer gains vanity, uttered feebly or loud

We all are in a crowd in this walk of religion,

And tend to behave as casually as we could,

Yet only who seriously seek the Savior,

Can touch the Master by faith as one should

Only for them is the healing,

Who by faith to the Master do pray,

“Someone touched Me in prayer”

About us may the Lord ever say.
