HOMEOSTASIS

“HOMEOSTASIS, from the Greek words for "same" and "steady," refers to any process that living things use to actively maintain fairly stable conditions necessary for survival. The term was coined in 1930 by the physician Walter Cannon. His book, The Wisdom of the BODY, describes how the human BODY maintains steady levels of temperature and other vital conditions such as the water, salt, sugar, protein, fat, and calcium and oxygen contents of the blood. HOMEOSTASIS is a word coined by the medical-scientific profession for BIOLOGICAL BALANCE in our bodies.  Our BODY is a fine tuned balanced biological machine which an MD monitors with certain indicators.  When we are sick the Dr. orders a blood test for certain indicators.  When the tests come back he says aha! .  I want you to go and have another blood test and have a MRI .  MD have been trained to detect abnormalities and malfunctions in the BODY. 

That is well and good but we have to remember that you and I have not just a BODY but a SOUL and a SPIRIT,  ALSO.   Some may not believe that we have a SOUL and a SPIRIT but for purposes of discussion let us say the SOUL and the SPIRIT exist.
1 Thessalonians 5:23(KJV) 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the SOUL and the SPIRIT exist then we need HOMEOSTASIS for the SOUL and SPIRIT.  We need not only an MD who is trained in the things of the BODY but another person who knows our SOUL and our SPIRIT.  
We know that our BODY, SOUL and SPIRIT are interconnected.  What happens in our BODY affects our SOUL and our SPIRIT.  Our SOUL affects our BODY.  That is why when we are sad or depressed our BODY is affected.

The GOD OF PEACE is that Person.  He has assigned the indwelling the Holy SPIRIT the task to be the Caretaker of our BODY, SOUL, SPIRIT.  The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth.  He is the Minister of TRUTH.

     Unlike the MD the Holy SPIRIT does not have to order indicators or MRI’s or CATs scans to assess our condition. He knows everything about all things.  His knowledge is complete

²⁶ Likewise the SPIRIT also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the SPIRIT itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
²⁷ And he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the SPIRIT, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

¹⁴ I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my SOUL knoweth right well.
¹⁵ My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
¹⁶ Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
¹⁷ How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
¹⁸ If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

What is the SOUL?  WHAT IS THE SPIRIT?
We all would admit as having a place where we think (our mind) , something that we use to decide(a will) and a place where we feel (emotions.)  Where these three exist remains to be seen but I say that our mind, our will and our emotions are our SOUL. 

IF GOD IS OMNISCIENT and the HOLY SPIRIT is GOD it makes sense to turn over control to the Holy Spirit and then cooperate with the Holy Spirit.
