You think you’re so pretty
In your dark demise,
But I’m the one who’s feeding you
Those egotistical lies;
While I have fallen like lightning,
I now roam the earth;
I’m not in hell, as you’ve believed;
So I can steal your mirth.

I see where you’ve come from,
I know where you have been;
I know your fragile stance,
Not having that Nazarene.

I’m the god of this world,
And I hold it by its throat;
Having covered your weak heart’s eyes,
You’re blind to the fiery moat.
I hold you in my sway,
To keep you from the truth;
I shudder to think you’ve learned Christ,
And see undeniable proof.

I’m ready to steal the seed,
His word in your heart,
For I wish to keep this God I hate,
And you, His love, apart.
I have my own design,
I love with so much glee;
More than not believing in God,
How you don’t believe in me.

Then when you see me, you’ll be surprised,
And see the Bible’s right,
I’m the loveliest of angels,
Lucifer-angel of light.
