An Attitude of Mind Like Christ

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6 NIV

 

Our attitude of mind is tied in to our actions. To live a Christian life, we must have the attitude of the mind of Jesus Christ. Christ always looked out for the betterment of others. He loved others, but hated actions which were evil. Our minds and our voices must be unified in giving glory to God the Father, and to His Son Jesus Christ. Through endurance and encouragement, which are provided to us by Christ through the indwelling Holy Spirit we develop an attitude which hopefully reflects that of our Master, Jesus. We are to live our lives unified as the body of Christ. We are to serve others, just as Jesus did while He walked the earth. Be encouraged by Christ that you may live a life pleasing to Him.
