The hope for blissful eternity

A plain speech to Thee I say,

You who have lost the true way

Where you walk is slippery ground,

The joy of life there will never be found

The ways of the world may seem bright,

Packed with deception is its light,

Walking in them your darkness will be deeper,

Father away will you drift from your Maker

‘There is way that seems right to a man,

But its end is the way of death,’

The Word of the Lord has established this truth,

To be followed by every child, old and youth

Many have followed the sinful bright lights,

And have ended up in disaster and pain,

Searching for joy in these dreadful paths,

Your search will surely end in vain

The Life, the Truth and the Way

Is Jesus Christ our Lord and King

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Prince of Peace, Father everlasting

This gracious Lord is your King too,

In Him alone you will find true joy,

Tread back now from the paths of sin,

In seeking His will your strength employ

There is peace and joy

In the presence of the King,

Such as is for sure

Beyond our understanding

Come and now receive His love,

And be filled with the joy in His grace

Lighten your burden at the feet of the Cross,

May His glory brighten your face

A plain speech to Thee I say,

You who have lost the true way

Christ your Lord and your King,

Calls you back to Him today.

Your soul have tread long enough,

On the paths which leads to vanity,

Secured in Christ alone is your hope

The hope for blissful eternity.
