Grief

When loss has shredded...e'en the...WILL...
And MORE pain...looms ahead;
Where do we go...where do we turn
To forestall fear...and dread?

The closest ones....cannot replace...
Nor...comfort can they give;
The chilling pain that shreds the will
Can sap the 'drive' to live.

Yet...in the darkest of our days,
Are those, who say, "I care."
And when the pain shifts...just a bit...
We KNOW that they are there!

And while no Earthly friend can hope
To banish ALL our pain;
Take refuge...in the Hand of God....
He'll mend our life....again!
