Poetry
This kind of love is strange,
And no mere heart can manage.
This kind is not ordinary,
Yet the kind that is very necessary;
If our Christian faith
May have miracle’s taste.
In His innocence,
He died for the guilty.
From a majestic home, so divine,
He came to the Earth full of man.
Though with all power
That He could save himself,
He held on still in this mortar
That He might save
His friends so powerless.
Though had so much to do
Still could give his time love’s flow
To accompany his weak friends
In the paths hunted by fiends
Though clad with glorious attires,
Yet sat among the filthy sinners;
Dinning and teaching them
With such unsearchable wisdom.
Dwelt in this congregation’s cliques
With such a patience so unique
Until He had brought closer these ones.
To His wisdom’s reasoning.
Though being all,
Yet gave them all,
This kind love isn’t common
It is rare in the land of the living.
He came to live “sacrifice”
In the world so selfish.
