The value of  human’s life

He came over, accompanied with His team. He drew the map of the city and delivered it with great wisdom and thereafter, commenced the beautification. At a moment of completion of all the creatures, He felt almost, but lacking something! There will be need for someone to manage the affair of this city! He turned to the inner circle of His team; ’this territory cannot be secured and governed well by anything or anybody except “our type” ’. This was how the proposal to make man on earth commenced.

This proposal to make man will necessitate special attention.  Some special and valuable treasured substances will be needed to make the special being called “God’s image”.

Actually, the situation on earth was quite terrible; formless, empty and conceived and concentrated darkness covers everywhere. God dislodged all, garnished the earth and someone was necessary to coordinate the activities on earth, represent God and link God and man. He needed someone with grace of responsibility, relationship and reliability. He made a creature as described in Genesis 2:7. He took a conscious effort, get down, formed man in His own image and deposited His “breath in him”.

This man has the following features and responsibility in the objective of the proposal and project to make man:

v  God’s image (likeness, form of God)

v  Have the capability to dominate

v  He is capable of fruitfulness

v  He is capable of multiplication

v  He will have to replenish the earth

v  He will take control of the earth.

Although, the whole lot of creation was summarized in very few verses; Genesis 1:27, 2:7, 21-22, it was obvious that God considered the creation of man as very important and sensitive project that He had to get down with the soil. He went that low to scoop soil, properly mixed it with water, patiently remove stones, pebbles and plant parts, milled, rolled, plastered and worked on till it became very smooth, made properly dried and with all this, He then gave a very important source of life ”breath of life”.

If the process of designing an automated machine, the complexity of such machine, selection of material, analysis for functionality, ergonomics, mechanical strength etc,  will probably  help appreciate the labour of God over man. Man is the most complex, expensive and tasking creature in the surface of the earth(evaluate the cost of cloning), a complex machine that is responsible  for the technologies in the surface of the earth. Apart from the design, he was programmed; some codes had to be included to avoid repetition of task “looping”. That is where fruitfulness, multiplication and replenishing came to be. The load and stress were accumulated; the kinematics and materials were carefully selected and designed. Form, size, lubrication of moving parts, safety and economy were perfectly built in human system. If we must value the greatest wisdom of God put into display in the creation of man, there will be need to consider the brain box of human being; the transportation system, the manufacturing of blood, the production, secretion and functions  of hormones, and dead and birth of cells in the body.

The ultimate wonder I have seen in the land of living is the complexity of living things, most especially the fantastic beauty and working of human system. I found it very difficult to accommodate the spontaneous evolving of man in this perfect order, subjected to the control of chaos! The moving joint working perfectly and  the whole physiology and psychology of man is just a wonderful design. The legs, brain, automatic nervous system with charges and signal.

I was recently at the hospital where I spent some time and I saw varieties of cases of human breakdown, These complex machines. I did learn quite a number of lessons in this necessary industry. Should we consider the cost of maintaining this system; cells, tissues, organs, systems and the entire body, it is an enormous task for any breakdown. I had to consider the cost of maintaining animal and if human being are possible, about hundred (100) will amount to, draining the treasury of a nation, that aside the cost of research and maintenance of such project.

      How much does it cost producing man?

      How much does it cost Him in maintaining man?

      How much does it cost Him in killing that man?
