The Spotlight Is On You
Bread of Bethlehem
You feed the whole of mankind
With your tender angelic presence
A meal to last for a lifetime and more.

The Spotlight Is On You
King of the host of Angels
Heaven had to come down that night
As the ethereal beings sang with all their might
The Gloria Song for the first time on earth.

The Spotlight Is On You
Shepherd of the sheep fold
No wonder all the Shepherds grazing that night
Ran all the way from their fields
To do you homage and warm that night.

The Spotlight Is On You
The true Nativity Star
It was but natural for the star in sky
To come and shine above your birthplace
Heaven’s Pointer straight down to Earth.

The Spotlight Is On You
Lamb of Jerusalem
It is anyone’s guess as to why
The humble animals lay grazing
At the feet of the Humblest Child ever known.

The Spotlight Is On You
The Best Treasure on earth
Even the gifts of the three wise king
Paled in  comparison and worth
To the highest gift God offered to man.

The Spotlight is on You
The True Light that Shines
Both in Heaven and on Earth
The Everlasting Light of the New Jerusalem
Which will dazzle for trillion years and time.

The Spotlight Is On You
The key to the Final Manger
The hay steps that lead all the way
To the eternal mansion way high above
As the Christ Child leads us home
His Christmas mission done at last.
