But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Romans 8:10-11 NIV

Even though we must live within the confines of our mortal bodies, which shall eventually perish, our heart and soul belongs to Christ Jesus. He gives a new life to our body, a life which is no longer enslaved to sin. This does mean that we shall never sin, but through Christ we no longer live for the desires of the flesh. We live to be nourished by God’s Word. We follow the direction we are given by the Holy Spirit. We live to advance the kingdom of God. We live to be of service to others rather than living for ourselves. We live to share the Good News of our Savior. We understand the blessings which have been bestowed upon us. We know that we are God’s children and shall spend eternity in the presence of the Father and the Son. We want to help the Lord in winning souls for God’s kingdom. Work humbly and diligently for the Lord. You are His child!
