For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.  And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:3-4 NIV

The law is powerless to save us. The law causes one to consider the desires of the flesh, and thus, of itself is weak. There needed to be another way to save mankind from enslavement to sin. Therefor, the Father sent His only Son to be a sin offering for mankind. The Father thusly condemned sin for what it is, the evil which stands between God and mankind. The righteousness of God’s law could only be accomplished through the sending of the Son. Through Christ Jesus we live according to the Spirit, and not the flesh. As Christ revealed to us, those who worship God must do so in Spirit. We cannot worship God in the flesh, for the flesh belongs to the world. The Holy Spirit is provided to those who have faith in Jesus Christ, enabling us to worship God in Spirit. Let the Spirit lead you in worshipping the Almighty, the Creator of all, and the Son, Jesus Christ!
