What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:21-23 NIV

Since the initial sin of Adam, mankind has faced the consequence of sin, death. Many live a life desiring the wants of the flesh. Others are ignored at the expense of providing for self. Instant gratification is sought by the multitudes. Those who spend their lives in this manner shall reap that which they sow. They shall spend an eternity tormented. We who have turned our lives over to the care of Jesus Christ shall reap otherwise. Our rebirth leads to holiness. This is a process. We must receive the Holy Spirit and be obedient as we are guided in the ways of the Lord. If our word and our action is Godly, it shall lead to the reaping of eternal life. Sin will be paid with just wages, death. A Godly life will be paid with eternal life. Seek the kingdom of God and be obedient to Him!
