Lord God,

I thank you for the gift of this Christmas season,

That it is an opportunity to celebrate your great love,

As shown in how you sent your son Jesus to live on this earth,

As both fully human and fully God,

To redeem me from my sins and restore my relationship with you,

And I thank you for the gift of family and friends,

With whom I can share this Christmas celebration with,

But Lord, please remind me that there are others who will be lonely this Christmas,

That there are people who have neither friends nor family to celebrate with,

That there are people who will spend Christmas without a home, food or money,

And people who are living without hope or knowledge of Jesus,

So Lord, please use me as an extension of your love this Christmas,

Provide me with opportunities to reach out to those who are lonely,

Whether it’s through sending them a message or gift,

Or inviting them into my home to share in Christmas celebrations,

Help me to be generous with the resources you have given me,

So that I may provide for those in need this Christmas,

And please provide me with opportunities to keep sharing the gospel with others,

That they would come to understand the true meaning of Christmas,

And find true and unending love in Christ.
