Thank You, LORD,
For giving us choices,
And that our prayers to You
Are voices and not just noises…
Your mercy moves the heavens;
Your truth unto the clouds;
Yes, Jesus, You’re just a whisper away:
We do not have to shout…
Oh, thank You, dear LORD,
For going to great lengths to rescue a wretch like me.
As clay in Your hands, You are making me a man
Whose heart belongs to Thee…
All I can do to show I am true
And that my gratitude is complete
Is to work with You in blessing the world,
Letting You use me to accomplish Your feats…
And though lightning flashes and thunder crashes
I am safe from every storm,
For You have battened down the hatches…
In Your arms myself You’ve borne…
And though the winds whip and the waves flip
I know that I shall stand, not fall,
For my house is built upon the Rock;
Yes, You are my water wall…
Bless You, LORD,
For You just being You,
Kind, compassionate, sweet, and gentle,
Faithful and oh so true…
To ask You why You chose me
Would be pride on my part;
For grace is just who You are.
And I can’t pick God apart…
But You did see some potential
When You had mercy ‘pon miserable me,
And that I could be molded into a man of God…
All blessings and glory go to Thee…
