Lord God,

I thank you for our church leaders that you have placed over us,

Please continue to grow our leaders in their faith and grow their confident hope in you,

And increase their joy in Jesus,

I pray that you would give them the strength and giftings they need to serve you faithfully,

And help them to live godly lives, that they may be good role models for your people,

Help them to teach your Word clearly and truthfully,

Please continue to grow their love for others more and more,

And help them to shepherd your people well,

I pray that you would use them to equip your people for ministry,

And give them the wisdom to make decisions for the church that honour you,

But please also continue to provide for the financial needs of our leaders,

So that they can make a living while serving your church,

And keep putting other Christians in their lives,

Who will encourage, support and pray for them,

Please also give wisdom to our leaders in taking proper times of rest from their ministry,

So that they may honour you through taking care of themselves and avoiding burnout,

Please protect them from the evil one,

And help them to guard against false teaching,

Strengthen them to stand firm against temptations and trials,

And in all that they say and do Lord,

May you continue to use them to bring more people to faith in Christ.
