You have probably heard the story Jesus told about the shepherd who had one hundred sheep. One of his sheep got lost and the shepherd left the ninety and nine sheep and went out looking for the one lost sheep. But... have you ever heard the story from the lamb's point of view?

Baa!!!

What's that? It's the little lost lamb.

Baa!!! Baa!!!

What's he saying? Only what you and I have needed to say so many times in our lives. He is saying:

Sung:

Shepherd, oh, Shepherd, I've lost my way again.

I know you said don't go there but I've stumbled and I've sinned.

I don't deserve Your love, Lord,

but I sure do need a friend

'cause Shepherd, oh, Shepherd I've lost my way again!

I know you said stay near You and I know I should obey

but my way seemed so much better and I thought I'd be okay.

I didn't plan to wander so far from where I'd been

but Shepherd, oh, Shepherd I've lost my way again.

Spoken:

So the shepherd went out searching for the lamb not in the fold.

He knew that he must find him 'cause the night was dark and cold.

He climbed the rugged mountain 'til he found the lamb, alone,

then he wrapped his arms around him and said “Come. We're going home.”

Sung:

Shepherd, oh, Shepherd I've got no friend like you.

If it wasn't for your love, Lord, what would this poor lamb do?

I'll seek your guidance daily so I'll miss the traps of sin

then Shepherd, oh, Shepherd I'll not lose my way again.
