Times are when I wish I were a genius
There are periods when I, for a minute long to
Wear the crown of infrequent ingenuity
Moments of astute bequeathal when a man
Operates in the wisdom of the ancient
When the impossible becomes attainable
And men once thrown to the bin of irrelevance
Become choice chiefs in great palaces
At times like this I love to transport myself
With my imaginary gaze at fancy, doing the desired!
I would then write the best poem ever written for a beloved
Sing a song never heard from a tender essence
Walk her on beaches tread only by knitted souls
Dine with her not only in opulent kitchens
But in places where love is unfathomably flaunted
I will articulate in free-flowing words
The true sentiments hidden in the deepest recesses of my being
I will look at her in the eye and in that atmosphere
Characterized by a perfect peaceful ambience
And with a whisper offer a lifetime commitment to LOVE!
