Lord God,

In a world where so many people don’t yet know about Jesus,

Please build in our hearts your desire for wanting to see the lost saved,

Help us to see that our days are numbered,

And convict us of the urgency of preaching the gospel,

Please convict us of the gravity of Jesus’ call to make disciples of all nations,

And help us to see each person we meet with fresh eyes,

As people who are in need of a Lord and Saviour,

And who, without Jesus, remain lost under your wrath and judgement,

But Lord, please also remind us that we are not alone in carrying out this mission,

And that it is not through our strength that people are saved,

But it is by your Spirit which enables and empowers us to share the gospel with others,

And your Spirit opens peoples’ hearts to respond to Jesus in faith,

So Lord, please continue to give us all that we need,

So that we can be effective witnesses for you to the ends of the earth.
