Jesus came along and really “put women in their place.” That is, he took her from the muck and mire to which she had been subjected and to which she had subjected herself and exalted her to such a high place the likes of which she had never before seen. He put her on the pedestal of one who had been made in the glorious image of God. He not only perched her there but he also placed there on that same pinnacle all of the downtrodden among humankind, be they women, or men or children. That place became the perch that became a pedestal that became a pinnacle of honor and dignity for all who had ever been denied those things.

God’s redemptive power is even greater than His creative power, because it includes and incorporates that creative power, but takes it even further for God’s great glory and for our great good.
