Jody Bailey Day The Challenge has really taught me to write clean and concise. It's really helped in my other writing endeavors. My scenes tend to run 750 words!

Yvonne Blake Participating in the Faithwriter's Weekly Challenge was the best thing I did to grow as a writer. Pushing myself to write on each topic, implementing the encouraging helps from more experienced writers, and learning to use precise vocabulary all worked together to sharpen my writing skills more than any other lessons or writing books.

Virginia Lee Bliss The Challenge is like taking a college-level writing course, only it's free. The weekly contests are an incentive to participate, and if you don't place one week, there is always next week. Working with one or more Challenge buddies is invaluable. Deb provides formal feedback on request, and other experienced writers and judges will often provide informal feedback.

David Butler I've made some real friends through this -- the kind that don't merely encourage, but tell me what I need to hear as a writer.

Debbie Best OConnor My confidence and writing skills grew so much as a result of participating in the Challenge. The feedback from other writers was an immense help and encouragement. Writing to a deadline, on topic, with a very limited word count helped me learn to say more with less space. I learned what it means to show, not tell. I also made some amazing friends from all over the world.

Phillip Richard Cimei There is no way I could express my feelings about how FaithWriters helped me in two sentences. I struggle with the 750 word limit in the Challenge. So, you can disqualify this manifesto if you wish, but I still want to share my feelings😁

Dave Walker Great for writing exercise -- especially writing to topic and restricting word count. While the comments were encouraging, I found I took them with a pinch of salt. They were all accolades and roses, which doesn't really help to improve one's writing.I just wanted to say that one of the very inspiring and things for me is reading other's posts and seeing the creativity and style. It is a huge help in showing me where I could do better. Also having a writing buddy to crit one another's work before submission helped my writing enormously.

David Butler I published my latest fantasy fiction work after entering a very short version ("Wings in the Wind") or excerpt in the FW Challenge. If it wasn't for the encouragement and useful feedback that I got from it, I don't know that I would have written the whole thing.

Pat Guy The Weekly Challenge met every challenge I needed to become a writer, in a fun and safe environment that created new friendships as well as the excitement of becoming published. 

George Parler A safe place that draws the creativity out of you and at times, draws you out of your comfort zone. Everything you need to become a better writer can be found there. Though it is called, "The Weekly Challenge" the true challenge is not with other writers. It overcoming the hurdles within yourself to become the writer you want to be.

Phee Paradise The challenge honed my writing skills and gave me confidence as a writer. Having guidelines and a weekly deadline forced me to be a disciplined writer. Thank you Faithwriters.
