FaithWriters Writing Challenge for Christian Writers - Reviews From Members
Learn to write to topic. word count and deadline in a safe caring environment.
Jody Bailey Day The Challenge has really taught me to write clean and concise. It's really helped in my other writing endeavors. My scenes tend to run 750 words!
Shari Armstrong When I first decided to try my hand at free-lance writing, I wasn't sure I could do it. Entering the Writing Challenge gave me the confidence boost I needed after placing 3rd in my level the first time out. I continued with the Challenge and worked on my style and my skills. It has been a huge blessing.
Noel Mitaxa The Challenge continues to be a blessing: for sharpening my writing - in the overnight success of three years at Advanced level - and for its doorway to friends and timely prayer partners from all over the world.
Karlene Jacobsen I was afraid, timid, expecting harsh criticism from those much more gifted; but was met by the loving mentoring of people who would soon become family.
Glynis Buhler Becker The challenge helped me feel more confident is letting others read my writing. It was a great way to learn the kinds of writing I enjoyed because I could try things out in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Joy Bach It has helped me so much. Learning how to write to a word count. I usually have too many words so have to edit. The comments were so encouraging.
Sharon Schuetz Before getting involved in the Challenge I was rather timid about saying "I am a writer." I was involved in 2006-2007. I don't have time to do anything with Faithwriters now, because my job keeps me busy. I am the editor of our city's local newspaper
Yvonne Blake Participating in the Faithwriter's Weekly Challenge was the best thing I did to grow as a writer. Pushing myself to write on each topic, implementing the encouraging helps from more experienced writers, and learning to use precise vocabulary all worked together to sharpen my writing skills more than any other lessons or writing books.
Carol White Wiley The challenge helped me try my hand at something I wasn't sure I could do. I found I really enjoyed writing.
Leola Ruth Ogle I was absolutely clueless about good writing skills when I started participating in FaithWriters Challenge. I thank God for the Challenge. I have learned so much and honed my writing. And making friends along way has been added bonus.
Mona Hatchette Purvis The thing I remember most about it is that it automatically put me into a community of writers. That's very important, allowing yourself that identification.
Dee Yoder Learning to write to topic, word count, and time was a great way to begin writing. The encouragement is tremendous, too, in the Faithwriters community. It's a safe place to be a writer.
Pam Ford Davis The Challenge contests sharpened my writing skills and increased my confidence. I cherish the friends that I have made through the comments left on my Challenge entries.
Virginia Lee Bliss The Challenge is like taking a college-level writing course, only it's free. The weekly contests are an incentive to participate, and if you don't place one week, there is always next week. Working with one or more Challenge buddies is invaluable. Deb provides formal feedback on request, and other experienced writers and judges will often provide informal feedback.
David Butler I've made some real friends through this -- the kind that don't merely encourage, but tell me what I need to hear as a writer.
Debbie Best OConnor My confidence and writing skills grew so much as a result of participating in the Challenge. The feedback from other writers was an immense help and encouragement. Writing to a deadline, on topic, with a very limited word count helped me learn to say more with less space. I learned what it means to show, not tell. I also made some amazing friends from all over the world.
Phillip Richard Cimei There is no way I could express my feelings about how FaithWriters helped me in two sentences. I struggle with the 750 word limit in the Challenge. So, you can disqualify this manifesto if you wish, but I still want to share my feelings😁
FaithWriter’s.
Dave Walker Great for writing exercise -- especially writing to topic and restricting word count. While the comments were encouraging, I found I took them with a pinch of salt. They were all accolades and roses, which doesn't really help to improve one's writing.I just wanted to say that one of the very inspiring and things for me is reading other's posts and seeing the creativity and style. It is a huge help in showing me where I could do better. Also having a writing buddy to crit one another's work before submission helped my writing enormously.
David Butler I published my latest fantasy fiction work after entering a very short version ("Wings in the Wind") or excerpt in the FW Challenge. If it wasn't for the encouragement and useful feedback that I got from it, I don't know that I would have written the whole thing.
Pat Guy The Weekly Challenge met every challenge I needed to become a writer, in a fun and safe environment that created new friendships as well as the excitement of becoming published.
George Parler A safe place that draws the creativity out of you and at times, draws you out of your comfort zone. Everything you need to become a better writer can be found there. Though it is called, "The Weekly Challenge" the true challenge is not with other writers. It overcoming the hurdles within yourself to become the writer you want to be.
Phee Paradise The challenge honed my writing skills and gave me confidence as a writer. Having guidelines and a weekly deadline forced me to be a disciplined writer. Thank you Faithwriters.
Marilee Williams Alvey The Challenge greatly developed my writing skills. It taught me that less is more. It brought great confidence to me as I climbed up the ranks. It also put excitement in my days as I read the comments and waited for the ratings!
Nancy McCall Sullivan Some of my most gratifying experiences in writing have come from The Challenge. Aptly named, we truly are challenged to up our game by experienced writers and encouraged in the process.
Edy T Johnson The discipline of a weekly challenge, including a topic to make me think, gave me the blessing of accumulating more than a hundred stories, some out of my memories that by now I might have forgotten had I not written them down when I did. I can't recommend FaithWriters enough.

I have the same revelations as your good self years ago back in Year 2005.
I hear eagle's cried while I was serving in usher ministry in church
As an usher on Sunday back than.
When I asked The Lord about this, he did not answered me.
So I actually stop asking.
However, I discovered your sharing just today and looks like The Good Lord is trying to tell me something
