⁵ And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Knowing God starts with acknowledging that we are sinners and need Him. The steps to this relationship bridge building are our ultimate need for Him, admitting we are sinners, and in faith, receive Jesus Christ as Savior.
God our heavenly Father, has always desired to be close to us, His reason for Eden in the first place. Before Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), bothe he and Eve knew God on an intimate, personal level. They walked with the most High and talked directly to Him. Due to sin man broke the bridge of direct connection, man became separated and disconnected from God. A relationship with our maker is the ultimate experience. All works for him are good but daily  walk with Him is above all; this is total surrender and growing continually in the spirit- Luke 9:23

Growing in the Lord is not a bed of roses because satan does not ‘want’ this (Job 1:7), so he will try to hinder the journey and counter every effort but the Lord already prepared us for this (Mark 13:13; Matthew 10:22-24; John 15:18-25) so our focus must always be on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. The resultant effect is inner peace that which cannot be described in worldly terms and spiritual intuitiveness and increase.
