While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people. Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.” Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him. Matthew 26:47-49 NIV

Jesus knew the intentions of Judas. So does He know ours.

If someone attempts to share the Good News for their own benefit, and not for the glory of the Father and the Son, and truly for the intent of winning souls to the Lord, or sharing with fellow Christians, the Lord knows it. If personal benefit (as an example, financial matters) is truly just a by product of sharing Jesus with others, that is fine, just as long as the true intention is as stated above. There are deceitful people who use preacher and other ways of sharing God with the benefit being the true motive for their actions. They will be held accountable by the Lord.

Many are searching for the true purpose of life. They are looking for answers that the world cannot provide to them. Make sure that your true purpose in sharing Christ is proper. Then you shall receive a reward far greater than anything this world can provide.
