Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over. Matthew 26:14-16 NIV

For money, Judas gave in to being the traitor of our Savior. He sold His soul for a mere thirty pieces of silver.

Although we might not be a direct betrayer of Christ, have we betrayed someone else, or are we even doing so currently? Is this what Christ would have us do? Betrayal is severe, and certainly is not loving thy neighbor as thyself. Have you ever been betrayed? If so, how and what did you feel? Do you really want to make someone else have these same feelings?

Loving is not necessarily easy. In fact, it can be quite hard to love someone. Yet, God is love. So, if we want to act in a Godly manner, we must love.

Let us love one another, as we are commanded, and never consider betrayal as a way of acting.
