A life of devotion...is it about our own effort to please God...is it all about us?
Living a life of devotion requires only our heart turning and yearning for God.
Our heart is what required to please our Lord.
Our heart is all that He is after.....

Cherish and Guard our Heart ......that's the most important thing in a Christian's life above all else. Our heart ......can be greatly deceived by far too many things, Our heart....can get so distracted by our loved ones, we can worship as though they are our Idols and gods. When my ex boyfriend left me, i felt like the world is coming down on me and making me feel so breathless and then I started to look back and realised how much I had been worshipping my ex boyfriend, i let him take the place of God in my heart which is so wrong. 

Living a life of devotion -- it is a commitment to love and follow our God, that doesn't necessarily mean that we will make no mistakes, we will. Sure we still will as long as we remain human on this earth, many things can come our way and made us fall. But what is important ....???? Is that we turn back to the Lord, truly say sorry and repent of our wrong ways and don't go back again, turning and running back to our gracious and loving God is key.

Don't run away from the Lord, but turn and run back to Him. He is there to embrace us, He is not there to condemn and judge us, but He longs for our return so that our relationship can be mended again.

Just be truthful to ourselves and acknowledge that we are only human, so that we won't expect us to be perfect and make no mistakes in our walk with God. We instead need to acknowledge how fragile and weak we human can be, and learn to rely on His strength and not ours so that our walk with Him can be truly secured. It is by His grace, we are saved, it is also by His strength that we are sustained in our relationship with Him. Amen.
