The worship and seeking of supernatural powers other than God has been practised by human beings for a very long time. Satan has used witchcraft and wizardry to prevent people from finding holy spirituality in God alone. He uses witchcraft such as mediums, horoscopes, and games to seduce people to target and lust after instant great achievements, dependence on powers that give self enlightenment. The Bible is clear about the use of such powers and the consequences thereof. This is idolatory and a declaration of war on God and all that is godly!

God knows we didn’t mean to and our hearts intent was to follow Him but we were deceived. Once we realize our mistake we must repent and turn away from that sin less we fall into rebellion. There are moments when we as God's creation disobey the most High; but whether that disobedience was intentional or unintentional is the question before God. If God has made Himself clear to you and you willingly choose to disobey, then you are in rebellion. Likewise, if you did not know at the time the wrong was done but He has since given you opportunity to know the truth through correction, confirmation, and conviction, yet in your pride, you have chosen not to submit and repent, but rather cling to that wrong, then you are in rebellion. Romans 6:16

Forming cliques and ganging-up to undermine one another's service is not godly character but this is quite rampant in today'church. Politicizing the affairs of God is the order of the day.
James 3:1

This means that if you want to grow in holiness, one great place to begin is by knowing and imitating the character qualifications of elders.its.

But if the elders are guilty of dissentions, divide-and-rule games, power tussle, creating like-minded groups etc; where is hope for a holy church growing in righteous obedience.
