“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. Matthew 25:14-18 NIV

Each of us has been given gifts by God. These have come from His wealth. The gifts have been given to each of us to use for the advancement of the kingdom. We are each uniquely blessed with different gifts. Some have been blessed with a wide array of gifts, while others have been blessed with just a few gifts. Yet, they have been given to each of us with the same intent in mind by the giver. We are all servants of the giver, and they are to be used to advance His kingdom.

Hopefully those who are blessed with the wide array of gifts, understand their blessings, and diligently pursue using them for the appropriate purpose. Even those who are blessed with less of an abundance of gifts should also be diligent in pursing the Master’s desire for their usage.

For each of us, the journey of the Master is equated to our life span. Our time to properly utilize the gifts we have been given for His purpose has a time constraint while here on earth.

Focus on doing the Lord’s will. Live and abide in Him. The Master shall return from His journey.
