How Would You Feel if Your Children Were Afraid of You?

What if you were the most loving parent imaginable and your child hid from you in fear? What if every time you walked into their room, they cowered in an attempt to protect themselves? What if you came close to them and they shielded their face as though you were going to strike them? What if when you told them how much you loved them, they did not believe you?

Would it break your heart? Our Father in heaven feels exactly the same way.

Wisdom

It is clear that beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Pro 9:10 NAS

But that is not the whole of wisdom.

Just like the beginning of wisdom is to recognize that fire can burn us and kill us. But fire can also warm us and cook our food. The fear of fire actually protects us, but God did not design fire to burn or kill us. The fear of fire could allow a person to freeze to death if they could not get past the beginning of wisdom.

God always does things for the greater good. Gravity is for the greater good, but many die because of gravity. But life, not death, is God’s intention for gravity.

In the same way, God's very existence nor His desire, is for our harm, He always seeks the greater good, but we must be free from sin to go home to Him.

Realizing we have a sin problem that keeps us from a perfectly Holy God is the beginning of wisdom. This is why God gave us the moral law, to protect us and reveal our need for the Savior – Gal 3:22-25. Understanding that only God holds forgiveness in His hands is just the beginning of wisdom.

But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. Psalm 130:4 NAS

God has done everything that needs to be done to save us. He could have said offering Jesus was too much, but he did not let that stop Him. He gave everything to come to our rescue. This tells you how much He loves you. All we need to do is believe, the middle of wisdom.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 NAS

Wisdom’s full circle is complete in us when our Fathers perfect love has cast out all our fears, and we rest peacefully in His loving arms.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:15-19 NAS

This is when we see in truth our Abba, or Dad. This is when we have a real intimate and personal relationship with Abba, just as His heart desires.

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"  Rom 8:15 NAS

This when all fear is gone. He is the most loving Father imaginable, and it breaks His heart when he sees us in fear. He wants you to trust Him and believe His word.

"Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32 NAS

Our Father in heaven is the most loving, caring and compassionate Father a person could ever have. Likewise, is our brother Jesus. See their warm smiles and sense their love for you. Let them embrace you in their loving and strong arms, overwhelming your heart with peace and joy. They are anxiously awaiting your arrival in their presence.

Many more New Covenant Bible Studies HERE. Jesus poured out His blood for the New Covenant of grace and truth, replacing the Old Covenant law of Moses. Believers are exclusively under the New Covenant, the last will and testament of Jesus that began after the cross.

And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20
