Little Children

Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there. Matthew 19:13-15 NIV

Had the disciples forgotten that they had recently asked Jesus who was the greatest in heaven, to which, He placed a child in their presence, letting them know that unless they became like little children, they would not enter the kingdom of heaven?

Often children are excluded from matters, as it is considered to be something to only be handled by adults. We can get caught up in our perceived maturity, but, how mature are we really? Do we see things as God does? Are we willing to be submissive, like little children, and let God guide us through life?

Become more childlike. Place your care in the hands of God. Trust Him and obey as He leads you.
