“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:10-14 NIV

Have you ever wandered off a path, and temporarily become lost? Did you feel even the slightest sense of panic? Have you ever found yourself wandering away from the Lord? If so, how did you feel? Were you spiritually lost, feeling frightened, and in need of being connected again to the Lord? Did you feel like God no longer saw, or cared about you? The one who has wandered away is of utmost concern to the Father. The Father wishes that none should perish and spend an eternity away from Him. God will do much to seek out the one who is lost. If you are lost, humbly admit that you have strayed, and desire whole-heartedly that He come back into your life. Believe me, He knows where you are, and if you truly desire to be reunited to Him, then you shall be reunited. There is more rejoicing in Heaven over the return to the flock of the straying sheep than over the ones who did not stray. You are never too far away for God to find you, not if you truly desire Him.
