All of these late nights with thoughts in wonder
As the world around me is falling down under
Innocence has been plundered by the acts of sin
When is it that correct progression can begin

The darkness of these late nights consumes actions
People thinking they can pursue any satisfaction
Nobody wants to admit what drives this insanity
Since many make profit off of all of this calamity

Treachery also happens in the daylight
But nothing can deny the sleepless late nights
The mess of stress influencing the rest
As we awake again the next day to try our best

Constant flow of information out in the air
Plenty to antagonize our mind with so much flair
A sensation to race at a pace that is strenuous
Leaving us tired and at times oblivious

We need to pay attention to the focus of our sight
There is much to consider as we lay down at night
The more we know the sadder it all seems to be
People getting fooled into thinking their life has no meaning

People crave control, but when we sleep our body is in a lull
We’re absent of consciousness, yet it still operates in full
With the choices at hand what is guiding the way
What drives us to make the most of our day

Look in the mirror and analyze the mind
Give yourself a little face to face time
Circumstances come and go in various capacities
Are you honestly aware of the truths in our reality
