As our nation stands torn and shaken
like a great tree who's branches lay bear
After being, wounded and bruised
now trying to recover from the awesome tares
A mother of nations that's under God
bearing the burdens of her lost
Fighting to keep her banners waving
in no matter what the cost
Lets pray that the leaders of our country
will seek the pages of wisdom from God
So He will birth her once again
and to establish her on every side
We should pray she keeps peace with Israel
and stand beside her in every way
The bible says she is God's chosen people
and this holds true, even unto this day
Although we are, a free nation
and proud American's, we may be
But it's because we're under God's mercy
from sea to shining sea
We did reverence the God of our country
We had faith in the God we trust
We did honor and praise him in our worships
for in our hearts we knew we must
The song of liberty spoke of him;
We saluted our flags, regarding his name
Sweet mother of countries, how blessed we are
having God to give us this fame
So the birth of our country is promised
if we remember how it first begun
Praying that He would forever guide our steps
for that was how our battles were won
