“Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:47-50 NIV

Have you watched fish swim in an aquarium? They will swim from one side to another, then turn and swim back in the opposite direction. Sometimes they will move higher or lower in the aquarium. However, the fish live in a limited space habitat.

It is the same with us humans living here on earth. Our world is limited; limited in its space, limited in its capabilities, and other limitations. However, the one who has turned his life over to Christ does not have all these limitations. Why not? Because this person thinks beyond what this world has to offer, and trusts in all that God can provide. The limitations those of this world face spiritually do not encompass those who belong to the Lord. The kingdom of God does not have the limitations of this world.

One day the aquarium that is this world will be turned off. All the fish will be removed with a net and be separated into the good and the bad. Live your life in the Lord, that you may be among the good fish put into a basket. You shall then enter God’s kingdom.
