Our victory will not determine our praise, rather our praise will determine our victory.

When the ten lepers came to Jesus and cried unto Him to heal them, Jesus did not heal them instantly, rather he said…

“Go, show yourselves to the priests.” Luke 17:14 NKJV

And it is further written ……”And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.” Luke 17:14 NKJV

Often we come to God with a condition that if He would heal us, deliver us, work a miracle for us, then we will worship Him and be obedient to Him, we should know and understand that it is not after we are blessed that we start praising God, rather we first start to praise and we will surely see the miracle in our life.

The ten lepers mentioned above had all the liberty to ask God, “You told us to go and show ourselves to the priest, how we can go to the priest when we know that our condition has not changed”, rather they chose to obey and received their healing in their walk of obedience.

Today, we may just have the promise of God, today we may just have the privilege of prayer, yet we can see that our problems persists, our pain remains, yet let me encourage you in this that your walk of obedience in faith will lead you to your healing, will lead you to your victory.

Joshua had witnessed the dividing of the red sea which God accomplished through Moses, yet when Moses was gone, challenges still existed and one of the greatest was the overflowing Jordon river. How did they overcome it?

“So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.” Joshua 3:14-16 NKJV

God had promised victory to them and they believed it. Even when the Jordon was overflowing they were preparing to cross it as God had told them to do and when the feet of the priest touched and dipped in the edge of the water the water stopped flowing and stood as a heap.

We need to step into our problems with the promise of God and faith in our heart and then shall we witness the impossible.

God is not waiting like a magician to show his tricks and wait for an applause, rather He is a loving, caring and powerful Father who delivers them who trust Him, have faith in Him and stand on His promises, who walk in perfect obedience through the darkest clouds towards the perfect blessed light which even though may not be seen for a brief time, yet is there and will be ours as we reach it walking by faith.
