Leadership

    Moses, whose name means "drawn out" was the one drawn out of the water by Pharaoh's daughter who later adopted him as if he were her own son.  To be drawn out in a deeper sense means for someone to summon forth from us what is within us, what has been deposited there within us by God, but what may have lay dormant and untouched for a long period of time.  Similarly Yahweh God would later  "draw out" of Moses, over and against his own initial four protests, what ability only God knew was present within Moses, because God put it there, at least in seed form, in the very act of creating him.  Ultimately what was drawn out of Moses by his God was his worship through the fellowship of relationship and through circumstance, and it is the same with us today.  (We cannot avoid worship for we were designed for it, it is just a matter of who or what will be its object.)
   Recently I had a wonderful lunch appointment with a new friend during which he was "drawing out" of me seemingly everything that I knew in a certain area.  I poured out of that storehouse within all that it contained and it was paradoxically one of the most fulfilling conversational experiences I'd had in a long time.  Even though I was emptying myself of knowledge I was simultaneously being filled full. (Hence "fulfilling") because someone else seemed to be  benefiting so  much from my offering.
