Two Blind Men

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored. Matthew 9:27-30a NIV

Either these two blind men were pretty good at getting around on their own, or they had friends who helped them. They were persistent, following Jesus indoors. But, what was most important about these two blind men is that they believed that Jesus could restore their sight. They already possessed spiritual sight. Jesus tells them that according to their faith that they would be healed. Here we have another case of faith and healing. We must learn to trust in the power which lies in faith. We must believe that when something appears to be impossible, that, it may be so for man, but not for God.

The more our faith grows, the more we see the wonder of God’s mighty hand. Keep working at nurturing your faith.
