The Touch of His Hand

When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him. When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.” Matthew 8:14-17 NIV

Jesus heals in many ways. With a touch of His hand, the fever left Peter’s mother-in-law, and with a word evil spirits were cast out of people. No earthly doctor can do the same. Yet, the most profound healing that the Lord can bring is to our soul. The soul searches for peace, truth, and rest. I know of only one place for this all to be found, and that is through the Lord, Jesus Christ. Many search, yet, do not find, as they look in the wrong place. Nothing of this world can provide that which the soul needs. The soul yearns to speak to the Spirit of God. God invites us to commune with Him, through His Son Jesus Christ, through anointing with the Holy Spirit. There is no other place for the soul to go to find that which it needs.

Approach Christ. Let Him know that you need Him at the center of your being. You will not be disappointed in making this decision.
