Walking in the light
As a beacon in the night
Shining with the love of Christ
With pure and holy light.

Hearts are full of wonder
Shaken by the thunder
Questioning why, wondering how
With much intent they ponder.

Looking all around
They hear the sound
Of music and dancing
Where can the love be found?

In the quietness they fear
Startled by sounds they hear
Not comprehending
That love is ever so near.

Moved by what they see
And wondering how can this be
They feel so alone and ask,
"Can anyone truly love me?"

So, in an instant they cry out
To the One who can quiet their doubt
Calming their fears as Jesus draws near
And giving them hope from within.

As hope fills the space
And they run their race
They begin to reach out again
And look in His glorious face.

Beholding his gaze
Clearing the haze
They sing, dance, and shout
With hearts full of praise.

With love's holy light
Of hope shining bright
They have now become
A beacon in the night.
