“It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Matthew 5:31-32 NIV
Here is a message from our Lord that for many could cause concern. The last time I checked, the divorce rate in the United States was approximately 50%. The Bible tells us “Let man not separate that which God has united.” So, are people who divorce not to remarry? I certainly don’t have the answer to many questions which come from reading God’s word.
I do believe that Jesus is telling us here that God considers a man and a woman to be married to their original spouse, and being married to someone else then would bring about adultery. This is just what I believe. I ask not that you concur. Does this mean that those who remarry are cast out of God’s sight? I truly believe the answer to this to be NO. God is a loving God, and would not disown someone who remarried. But, at the same time God is not happy with the fact that the original marriage was severed. You may choose to disagree with me, and that is fine. This issue does not affect our salvation.
I must admit this is one of the hardest scripture readings for me to write on due to the immense amount of divorce which occurs. But, the word must be told. God’s word is not easy to always follow, even those who are on fire for the Lord.
Be blessed in the Lord.

You seem to have a depth that is refreshing and a concern for Him and for His people; why else would you have taken on such a huge topic?
Your compassion shows clearly, at least to me, however, I should like to have "seen" you plumb the depths of that heart that God has given you and for you to "develop as a writer" and a teacher.
Admittedly, this is a hard topic and one on which I have a point of view, but this isn't my article, so, I digress in that regard.
Develop the topic, "unpack it" as they say and see what more the Lord might show you in the doing of it and then share that with us. You are sure you have something to say, why else would you be here at Faith Writers? So...say it...
Say it imperfectly, say it stumbling your way through, say it, say it, say it and watch your own faith grow...you'll see.
