WHO IS YOUR FATHER!
Because we're sons and daughters of God, He brings us before great, dedicated, and faithful ministers of the gospel. These precious ministers are highly respectable servants of God who serve in God's household, the body of Christ, by nurturing and caring for their younger brothers and sisters in the faith. These ANOINTED MENTORS and MENTORESSES, are primarily the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. But there are also scores of other gifted servants of God serving quietly and faithfully in various capacities and categories. Please see Ephesians 4; 7-16; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31. As it is in the physical, so it is in the spiritual, all truth is parallel, even though the physical is a far more inferior copy of the spiritual. A household servant cannot become the father or mother in the house where he or she serves, irrespective of their new spiritual, financial or social elevation. They remain loyal, accountable and faithful stewards.

1 Corinthians 4:1, 2.
So look at Apollos and me as mere servants of Christ who have been put in charge of explaining God’s mysteries. Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager or steward must be faithful.

No real parent will tolerate his/her children relying absolutely or calling his servants or stewards "Daddy" or "Mummy" in his or her presence or absence. Let's be honest. Even our LORD Jesus Christ whose gospel we preach is not our spiritual Father, in the gospel, but our elder brother, who is a faithful minister in God's family and household, which we belong. Please read Hebrews 2:1-18; Hebrews 3:1-6. If we happen to bump into our LORD Jesus Christ today, and as usual we're dazed, awed and flabbergasted by his awesome glory and splendor, and instead of crying out like Peter, "LORD" or "Master" or "Savior", we cry and call to Him "Father" or "Daddy" or "Papa Jesus", we know from scriptures that the LORD Jesus would never say or answer "Yes, my son/daughter", instead, He will humbly and definitely point and bring us to His Father, who has also become our Father, when He shed His precious blood on the cross.

Matthew 23:9.
And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father. Hebrews 2:11. - So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters. John 20:17. - Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Now, whenever we come before these great, faithful, and dedicated ministers of God, the young and maturing believers are often overwhelmed with great excitement, enthusiasm and even become proud and boastful, because they are attached, affiliated or related to that minister and ministry. This is to be expected, even though it often results in looking down on those from less prominent ministries, and unhealthy competition, spiritual tussles and extreme position consciousness and contests, within such great ministries. Nothing in this world generates spiritual stagnancy, mediocrity and vision duplication, in our Christian destiny, like these traditional and sentimental tendencies.

But God's ultimate purpose for giving us the privilege of meeting such anointed and respectable ministers, is not only to receive miracles and blessings through them, (2 Chronicles 20:20), but to learn from them, and also to challenge, inspire and motivate us to become strong and established enough, in order to receive the baton of the gospel from there and do far greater works in our various unique capacities, by mustering the courage to denounce the enticement of the subtle seduction of secondary vision (running with our mentor's or pastor's (etc.) vision, indefinitely), into the more challenging and exclusive primary vision, (your unique vision from God), to the glory of God. Primary visions can be so unique that they sometimes attract persecution and eventually require total separation from your beloved mentors, family and friends.

This is why mature believers know that being around any anointed and respect servant of God is another reminder that great responsibility lies just ahead. So, their excitement is curtailed and is with reservation.

John 14:12.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. Please read also, Acts 8:1-40.

When we finally pass the great and very difficult test of making only God our spiritual Father, we'll know and understand that doing greater works than Jesus Christ is a privilege, mandate and our ultimate responsibility, because his Father who empowered Him is also our Father ready to empower us, when we know Him as Jesus knew Him.

Jesus Christ died, not because He claimed to be the son of Joseph and Mary, or the son of Abraham and David, as the prophets and people claimed. But He died because He ventured to tell the truth, that He's not the son of any human being, but the son of God Almighty. He was killed because they didn't believe Him, knowing that anyone who believes Him as the Savior and the son of God, becomes saved from sin and the wrath of God to come, and also becomes the son/daughter of God Almighty, never again to be the son/daughter of any human being! And as God's heirs, we’re entitled to all that God owns as our inheritance, This is the greatest privilege! Hallelujah!
