God Is With Us

“All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’ (which means “God with us”).” Matthew 1:22-23 NIV

You will hear many comment today “God is dead” or “Where is God when we are surrounded by all this evil.”

My answer to these questions is truth. It appears in scripture. “GOD IS WITH US.” God is with those who belong to Him. God is beside us that are His. God does not, nor will He ever, abandon His people. God is here for us to come to. He is accessible through prayer. His word is ever present to us in His holy word. He indwells us through the power of the Holy Spirit, the gift sent by the Father to those who abide in Christ. He is present in the lives and hearts of fellow believers.

God has never been dead. What is dead is the spirits of those who are blind to spiritual truth. They say God is dead, when what is truth is the death of their spirits.

You can accept as truth that God is with us. We do not need to wait until we leave this earth to have the presence of God. He dwells in our hearts, at the very core of our being! May your soul rest in the presence of God!
