Try as hard as we might
To keep the words of love
Safely concealed in our hearts
The walls themselves will speak
Of how we silently expressed love.

Try as hard as we might
To pacify our hearts
To utter the words by other means
The winds themselves will proudly whisper
Of how our names are entangled in it.

Try as hard as we might
To calm the rising emotions
By allowing our eyes to talk instead
The leaves themselves will flutter in delight
Of how our presence gave them an evergreen shine.

Try as hard as we might
To slow down our hurried steps
By giving in to the world around us
The road itself will raise its glance
Of how our interwined footprints was its best design.

Try as hard as we might
To carefully treasure days and moments
By taking one grace filled day at a time
The seasons of life will themselves glory
In how the years of our love gave it the most beautiful colour of all.

Try as hard as we might
To lower our heads in front of the other
By letting the heart and soul to say it all
God himself will elevate our love
On His perfect heavenly scales
To be exalted forever in His kingdom.
