A short paradiddle for our kinsman Redeemer-

Of all the great Christmas tunes, I think none of them touch me in the way that the Little Drummer Boy does. It is such a simple, almost primal song, yet filled with such profoundness, simple and raw.
This little boy, (mankind) faithfully enticed to go and visit, (commune) by no evidence, other than the testimony of other people (probably, that of his parents), some heavenly signs and God's written Word. This boy, faithfully meeting face to face with a small, perfect version of himself, yet knowing that this baby before him IS his ultimate kinsman redeemer!
This boy has nothing of earthly value to offer this King of ALL Kings, except for his God-given talents and what is at the end of his hands.
And then, the simple evidence of his Savior being pleased with THIS... it gets me every time.
