Wandering From the Truth

My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20 NIV

We can be co-heirs with Christ in the process of salvation for the lost soul. Our task is to help lead lost souls to Christ. We must help them to understand that the life they are now living leads to nothing but destruction. We need to help them see spiritually. We help them to see the wrong of their ways. This is our part. The touching of the heart and soul belongs to the Master. It is only He who can penetrate the heart and soul of one who seeks truth. We can lead the “horse” to water, but, it is the Lord who is the living water, the water that is needed to eternally quench the soul.

I find it exciting that our Master would trust us with the thought of helping Him win souls to God. It isn’t as if the Lord needs our help. No, it is that He desires us to help Him. What an honor this is for us, the children of God. What a true privilege we have been given. Just do your part in sharing for the Lord, and let Him take over to finish the task. He certainly knows what He is doing.

By being involved in winning one over to Christ, a multitude of sins are covered over for the repentant individual. Smile at that thought when you have helped one in finding the Lord.
